What I've been buying...

Pin It Now!
So its pretty safe to say that I've been a busy little bunny since we last spoke. Since I last blogged I've finished University forever which is very bitter sweet and not quite sunk in yet. I'm just about to graduate and sadly having to start think about becoming a real life adult person. I've also been in London for the last 5 week interning at an amazing PR company, which I had the most incredible time at and met some amazing people! I've absolutely got the London bug so as soon as work and money allows I will be back down, hopefully for good, like a shot. Scotland I love you but the twinkling lights of London are just too shiny to stay away for too long. Its not been all working and heads in books I'm also just back from a weekend at Rockness with some of my oldest and best friends in the world which was filled with music, tents, getting burnt and having one or two many wines. Exactly what the doctor ordered after months of working hard.
Since its been all work and (nearly) no play I've not have that much chance to shop, hard to believe whilst living in London for 5 weeks, I know I surprised myself too.
But, I just wanted to start posting again thought I'd show you the few things I have been buying to ease me back to frequent posting... (I promise)

Bought these bargain Zara heels whilst in London, haven't had chance to wear them yet but they will certainly be getting worn to death this summer. The perfect neutral summer mid heel, in my opinion.
Also my Cambridge satchel was a surprise birthday gift from my best friends. They know me so well I cannot get enough of it!

This Cos top actually just arrived this morning and after walking away from it and regretting it at full price I snapped it up when I spotted it in the sale the other day. Love it when that happens. I'll be wearing it with black leather trousers, the Zara heels above and burgundy lipstick.

No explanation. Lemon yellow high waisted yumminess. I'm off to Corfu in a couple of weeks and cannot wait to be lying around to pool doing absolutely nothing wearing this. From Topshop.

My favourite bloggers: Love Cloth.

Pin It Now!
So after a long, LONG break I'm finally able to start blogging again. I handed in my dissertation last Wednesday (Yay!) and after taking the last few days to celebrate I'm FINALLY back.
So I thought I'd start my returning post with a favorite bloggers post afters contacting the lovely Kim from Love Cloth. I'll be back to outfit post too very soon.

So anyway, I've been following Love Cloth for quite some time now  and I think its just such a sweet blog (Plus we have the same Mulberry purse). Kim's pictures are always so fun and always put a smile on my face. Love Cloth has been up and running since 2012 and within a short space of time has come on leaps and bounds becoming one very successful blog, and rightly so. Whilst its mainly a personal style blog, there's a good dose of beauty chucked in there for good measure too.

Kim was lovely enough to answer my little interview so here goes:

1. Describe your style in 5 words.
I think my style is quite simple, its girlie meets tomboy meets primary school meets granny chic.
2. What inspired you to start blogging?
I guess like every fashion blogger, a love for fashion. I also love the creatively that goes along with it; editing photography, playing with typography and creating design. I decided to mix this all together and build a little space in the blogosphere to call my own.
3. What is your most loved item of clothing/bag/pair of shoes in your wardrobe?
Anything with a Peterpan collar/ A smock dress / and the new love in my life, my Mulberry bag.
4. What bit of advice would you give budding new bloggers like myself?
It’s all about being yourself, do what you enjoy and the rest will fall into place. Using all forms of social media to get your word out there cant hurt either #helloworld

5. Where are your 4 must stop shops?
Topshop, Urban Outfitters, Olive Clothing and Office shoes
6. Whats your go to look when you're feeling uninspired?
Lately I’ve been living in, my Topshop Joni Jeans, a stripe tee and an oversize jacket. See previous outfit posts on love cloth ha

7. Your Ultimate designer is....? And why?
I love the classics like Chanel, Valentino and Chloe alongside others like Alice by Temperley, Preen, Erdem.. too many to pick just one.

Thank Kim! If you're loving Kim's style as much as I do check out Love Cloth. HERE. Also Love Cloth has been nominated for a Company Style Blogger award (woop woop). I'm sure she'd be pretty chuffed if you voted for her here

Also some exciting news I now own www.thestyleswan.com so you can find me at this address rather than the very annoying and long blogspot address. No, not that exciting? Just me.

My Favourite bloggers: Oliver Proudlock

Pin It Now!
So I'm sure most of us are fans of the E4 hit series 'Made in Chelsea'. I know I certainly am. My Mondays nights are feeling a little lonely without it on telly just now.
Whilst most, if not all , know and love Made in Chelsea not everyone (but I'm sure alot) will know that one of the main characters, Oliver 'Proudlock' has ventured into the world of fashion blogging and created Proudlock Style.com
Here we see daily looks from Proudlock which vary from double denims, dapper three piece suits to a pretty special Christmas 'outfit' and the occasional onsie thrown in for good measure.
Its always nice to stumble across a male fashion blogger since its seems to be a bit of a mainly female dominated area. Some of my Favourite Pieces of Proudlock's are his Versace by H&M bomber jacket,  Ralph Lauren brown leather flight jacket and the Oliver Sweeney Orange Chukka boots (Anything orange, I'm pretty certain to be a fan, which also seems true for Proudlock). Also loving his mix of high street and high end. Always a winner in my eyes.

Anyway, I contacted Proudlock to see if he would do a little interview and hallelujah he said yes!
So here we go:

Describe your style in 5 words.
Urban, Varied, Nineties, Laid Back, Eclectic
What inspired you to start Proudlock Style.com ?
I have always been into fashion, and often get asked about my style, so i thought this would be a great way to give people a direct insight into the brands i love and the clothes i wear.

What is your most loved item of clothing//pair of shoes in your wardrobe?
At the moment it would have to be my Breaks London Leather Biker Jacket, and my Oliver Sweeney bright orange Chukkas.

 Levis Vintage Denim Jacket

Serge DeNimes 4 Colour Symbols on Grey Jumper

 Ksubi Jeans

Oliver Sweeney Bright Orange Chukka Boots

 Versace for H&M Bomber Jacket

 Diesel Black Tepphar Jeans

 Reebok Classic Trainers

What bit of advice would you give budding new bloggers like myself?
To stick to your own style, and always look at ways that your can push yourself creatively. There are so many amazing blogs out there, and you need to constantly think how you can make yours unique, fresh and ever changing.

Where are your 4 must stop shops?
Wolf & Badger, Diesel, Selfridges, The Shop at Bluebird

 Reiss Broadwalk 3 Piece Suit

 Reiss Boston White Shirt

 Reiss Brunswick Loafers

What is your go to look when you're feeling uninspired?
All black

Your Ultimate designer is....? And why?
Ralph Lauren. He touches upon every kind of style, with an emphasis on quality and unique designs.

Thanks Proudlock. Brilliant answers!

And whilst your checking out his blog you may as well take a little stop over at Serge DeNimes which is the urban t-shirt brand created by Proudlock himself.

Are these not the most perfect black boots? Acne, you did good. If you're lucky enough, you can get them here. Toppers also have a pretty nice version at a quarter of the price though.

Just back from Saturday brunch with my best friends, so just a quick post after all that slacking before I get back to uni work. I bought these Asos shoes for work originally but thought they'd add something to an otherwise pretty simple outfit. I love the little gold heel on them.

My favorite bloggers

Pin It Now!
As a fashion blog mega fan I am always keen to get to know my favorite bloggers even better. I presume as you're reading my blog that you're also pretty interested yourself.
One of my recent faves is Natasha from Bisous Natasha. Natasha couldn't have been more lovely when I contacted her. And ever better she agreed to do a quick little 7 question interview for me but mostly for you lovely readers to enjoy.
As well as being a fab blogger she is also model living in London. BisousNatasha is a fairly new blog but you may recognize her from her previous blog Snowblack.

So on to the interview:

undefined
Describe your style in 5 words:
Constantly changing but always interesting

What inspired you to start blogging?
I saw it as a means to express myself with the clothes I wear, but also to share with the world a part of who I am.

What is your most loved item of clothing/bag/pair of shoes in
your wardrobe?

I love my Topshop leather jacket, my black Carvela ankle boots and my new vintage fox fur coat from New York.

What bit of advice would you give budding new bloggers like myself?

Be true to yourself. Don't try to blog like someone else, the world already has that person doing that, so do your own thing. Of course finding a niche is important, but if you want to write about anything go for it. It's all trial and error.

Where are your 4 must stop shops?
Selfridges, Topshop, Liberty's and Harvey Nichols

What's your go to look when you're feeling uninspired?
All black and then accessorize with gold jewelry, such as my Michael Kors watch, some bracelets and rings.

Your Ultimate designer is....? And why?
I love so many, I don't have one favourite. I love Balmain, Givenchy, Stella McCartney and Burberry to name a few.

p.s  here is a little You tube video of Natasha talking about blogging and how it helps her modeling career. Go on, give it a watch.

Thanks Natasha, its been a pleasure. Can't wait to see what you have up well dressed blogger sleeve for Bisous Natasha next.

All Pictures are from Bisous Natasha.

Pick of the Week

Pin It Now!

I can't really do a post today without mentioning the wonderful Burberry Prorsum show. I fell particularly hard for this one because I'm a massive animal print fan, of which there was plenty. Also loved the ox blood colour running through the collection, the wide stripes and the masses of pencil skirts. As always Christopher, spot on. You never fail to impress me.
Now that I've got that off my chest on to Pick of the week. The sun shone for the first time in a long time here in Glasgow yesterday. So some of my picks I chose because I can't wait for summer!
The American Apparel bikini I've had my eye on for a while, but can't quite bring myself to buy when its still snowing.
